Tutorial 1, Part 12 – Save the Scene
Saving
As you have seen many times in this tutorial, pick the "Save" button to save your work:
This will save a copy of the drawing as a DWG file. It also saves the database as an MSZ file. Both files will be located in the folder you set at the beginning of this tutorial.
But you can also pick "Save as..." to save your project to a different name or to a different location on your computer:
This will save the DWG and MSZ files of this scene to a new name or a new folder, or both.
Note: Always keep the DWG and MSZ files together in the same folder, and when archiving to a floppy, memory stick, removable hard drive, network location or CD. You can also save all other files with the same scene name with other extensions such as, .BAK, .MBZ, .RTF, .QSB, to the same storage location.
Congratulations, you have completed Tutorial 1!
